Oregon has a long history in skateboarding and this state has produced some of the best skateparks not only in the country, but the world. For example, the first ever DIY skatepark was built in Portland under the Burnside Bridge which is apparently what spawned the skatepark building boom that continues to this day.

The next ‘gnarliest skatepark’, dubbed so by Thrasher Magazine, was built in Lincoln City by the same Portland locals who originally constructed Burnside. One of the main contributors to both builds was Mark Scott who ended up starting his own company designing and building skateparks called Dreamland Skateparks. Dreamland Skateparks has gone on to become one of the best skatepark builders in the United States and have thirty-five skatepark builds under their belt in Oregon alone.

So if you want to skate the best bowls and transition skateparks in the country, Oregon should be number one on your list because the state’s plentiful and exceptional skateparks coupled with the exuberant skate culture here, make Oregon a skateboarding mecca. Here are the twenty best skateparks in Oregon right now.
