Best Skateparks In Georgia

Kennesaw Skatepark

Kennesaw Skatepark measures in at a whopping 40,000 square feet and is a replica professional style Street League facility. This means all the obstacles are exactly what the pros skate in the Street League competition. There are down ledges, flat ledges, handrails, flat bars, manual pads, gaps, and more. However there is more to this skatepark than just street obstacles such as a flow bowl and a ten foot pool too!

Riverdale Skatepark

Riverdale is a 7,000 square foot skatepark that was designed and built by Spohn Ranch in 2017. The street course consists of a bump to manual pad, handrail, out rail, A-frame rail, two down ledges, flat ledge, and quarter pipes. But that’s not all. This skatepark also has a nice bowl with two different depths and hips which are sure to please transition skateboarders.

Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark

Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark which was built in 2011and was Atlanta’s first ever public skatepark. On opening day, skateboarders had a surprise visit by none other than skateboarding legend, Tony Hawk!

Tony Hawk who just happens to also be the richest skateboarder of all time donated $25,000 towards the construction of this facility. At the grand opening Hawk noted the exceptional size of the skatepark and praised its design which had a lot of input from the local skateboarding community

There are some unique bowls here with various extensions, a volcano, hips, and bumps. The street obstacles consist of handrails, ledges, stairs, bank, pump bumps, and a spine. With such a diverse mix of features, this skatepark ought to satisfy just about every skateboarder.

Brook Run Skatepark

Brook Run Skatepark is 27,000 square feet and was designed with both beginner and advanced skateboarders in mind. There is a giant flow bowl which is perfect for cruising around that has hips and extensions. When you are ready to step things up there is a pool style bowl with tile and pool coping.

The street course is wide open offering lots of room for practicing on flat ground along with three down ledges, handrails, stair sets, flat ledges, a curved ledge, banks, and manual pads to make use of.

Bay Creek Skatepark

Bay Creek Skatepark was built in 2009 and designed by Pillar Design Studios. There are a lot of obstacles on offer here including handrails, stairs, down ledges, flat ledges, manual pads, flat bars, kicker ramp, jersey barrier, and euro gaps. Transition skaters will enjoy ripping the flow bowl and the snake run.

Peachtree City Skatepark

Peachtree City Skatepark was designed and built by 5th Pocket Skateparks who are a company based in Philadelphia. These guys did a great job of mixing both street and transition features into a small space. There are two down ledges, euro gap, rail, quarter pipes, plus a bowl with nice hips and a bank.

Duncan Creek Skatepark

Duncan Creek Skatepark is 20,000 square feet and was designed and built by Wally Hollyday in 2008. Transition skaters were definitely favored in this design as there are six bowls here including a professional backyard pool. The street course has four stair sets, rails, flat bars, and ledges.

Gainesville Skatepark

Gainesville Skatepark is another Wally Hollyday design with a good mix of street and transition. There is a pool style bowl, flow section, china bank, waterfall, double set, ledges, rails, and more. A helpful addition to the skatepark is the two covered seating areas that allow you to catch some shade on those hot summer days.

Brunswick Skatepark

Brunswick Skatepark offers a variety of terrain that will suit all types of skaters. The street course consists of a stair set, handrails, down ledges, banks, manual pad, wall ride, and a volcano. Flow bowls are joined by a spine in the middle and offer hips and an extension. The colored concrete gives this skatepark some pop!

Central City Skatepark

Central City Skatepark is one cool spot! The street section is in the skate plaza style with multiple stair sets, handrails, ledges, banks, and quarter pipes. In the more recent addition to this build, a large bowl with a spine, hips, and an extension have been added.
