Situated just off the 101 freeway in the heart of Carpinteria lies an epic new facility for skateboarders. The Carpinteria Skatepark spans 19,500 square feet and has been meticulously designed to cater to all skill levels and quickly becoming a beloved hub for the local skating community.

It’s been fourteen long years since a group of passionate skaters inspired by the demolition of Carpinteria’s previous skatepark banded together to form the Carpinteria Skate Foundation (CSF). Motivated by an unwavering commitment, the CSF embraced a quest to construct a skatepark that would foster an atmosphere of artistic expression, acceptance, and a shared sense of belonging. Finally in August 2023 the Carpinteria Skatepark officially opened and all of the CSF’s hard work paid off!

The Carpinteria Skatepark

The Carpinteria Skatepark is a testament to the power of community and shared passion. The design has been thoughtfully laid out to provide ample opportunities for skaters of all levels to hone their skills and experience the most fun thing to do on four wheels.

There is a mix of transition features that include a bowl with a deep and shallow end, vert wall, spine, and hips. In one of the corners of the skatepark there is a unique vert wave capsule which is perfect for challenging your friends to see who can ride the highest.

If street inspired obstacles are more up your alley then you will have fun with a variety of bank ramps including a long drainage ditch and some fun banks to launch out of as well. The four block stairs are perfect for skateboarders looking to jump down something serious. There are also a big handrail, flat ledges, hubba ledges, a curb, and quarter pipes.

This place is modern but still with a bit of old-school flair. It was constructed by one of the best skatepark builders in the country, Dreamland Skateparks so you know this is a high quality skateboarding facility. Another major winning component to this skatepark is the awesome lighting that allows users to ride in to the night.

If you’re looking for a place to go skateboarding, a place to learn how to ride a skateboard, or you just watch others skateboarding, then Carpinteria Skatepark should be on your list of places to visit!
