If you’re a skateboarder who lives near Madison, Wisconsin, then you have hit the jackpot. Why? Because the new state-of-the-art Bakken Wheels Skatepark in the city of Cottage Grove is now open to the public!
There is no better feeling then shredding freshly poured concrete with all of your friends, specially when it has been sculpted into existence by non other than Spohn Ranch Skateparks (who are known as one of the best skatepark builders in the business).

Bakken Wheels Skatepark measures in at 9,000 square feet and it also includes a 4,500 square foot pump track, so there is something for everyone to enjoy riding here.
The street course consists of modern-style obstacles such as a perfect flat ledge, flat bar, ride-on hubba ledge, three-stair, handrail, bank to curb, A-frame rail, volcano, bank ramps, and quarter pipes. There is nothing to crazy or big which makes it perfect for skateboarders wanting to learn or improve their street skills.

Transition skateboarders were definitely not forgotten here at Brakken Wheels Skatepark with an extremely fun flow bowl to fly around in. The bowl features a spine, deep end, shallow end, hips, and a banked extension. It is one of those bowls where skateboarders can really dial in their tricks and build up confidence before moving on to a vert bowl.

Pump tracks are becoming somewhat of a staple in newly constructed skateparks nowadays and I’m surely not complaining about it. Not only is it fun to rip around as fast as you can but it is a great way for beginner riders to gain important fundamental skills. Brakken Wheels Skatepark’s pump track is long, smooth, and it will provide eternal smiles for all who are brave enough endure the “leg burn” while pumping around it.

So what are you waiting for? Get off your butt and get to the new Brakken Wheels Skatepark and join in on a session. Just remember to respect this awesome new skatepark by keeping it trash and graffiti free!
