Harmon Skatepark is the newest concrete skatepark in Kansas City! The old skatepark that once stood here has been completely removed to make way for this one which was designed by New Line Skateparks.

This modern skatepark was completed in 2021 and features a mix of both street and transition terrain. There is a flow bowl consisting of three sections that vary in height. You’ll also find a half bowl, quarter pipes, stair set, up-gap, handrail, flat bar, hubba ledge, bank ramps, bank to ledge, manual pads, planter ledges, and flat ledges.

If you’re looking for a silky-smooth new skatepark to shred, this might just be the place for you!

Wichita Skatepark

Wichita Skatepark was designed by world-renowned skatepark designer Wally Hollyday. It sits underneath the Kellog overpass bridge in Wichita.

This skatepark is decent-sized at 12,000 square feet. There is a variety of terrain including a nine-foot bowl, eight-foot bowl, and five-foot bowl, along with a street course.

The street obstacles include stair sets, handrails, flat rails, hubba ledges, flat ledges, blocks, banks, manual pads, pyramid, and a decent flat area to practice your tricks.

Derby Skatepark

Derby Skatepark was designed by California Skateparks and is an excellent skateboarding facility for all levels and types of riders.

Constructed in 2006, it features a four-foot bowl, various bank ramps, down ledges, bump to ledge, flat ledges, stair set, handrail, flat bar, dinosaur spine, pyramid, and a pyramid with an A-frame ledge.

Centennial Skatepark

Centennial Skatepark was remodeled by Evergreen Skateparks who are one of the best skatepark designers and builders in the country.

This concrete skatepark offers an array of terrain from street to vert! There are numerous quarter pipes, extensions, bank ramps, rails, flat bars, flat ledges, down ledges, out ledge, manual pads, bump to ledge, and a bank to bank.

The old half-pipe that once stood here was replaced in May 2023 with a brand new vert ramp! You have to check this out if you love to ride vert!

Swarner Skatepark

Swarner Skatepark (also known as Shawnee Skatepark) was built in 2005 by Grindline Skateparks and measures in at 11,000 square feet. It is quite gnarly in design featuring a massive cradle and steep transitions!

The bowl offers a plethora of hips, cradle, vert extension, radial extension which are best suited for experienced riders.

There is also a street section with a curved three-block, ledges, flat bar, steep bank, ride-on out ledge, euro gap, rail, and quarter pipes. Yes, you’ll want to grab your pads for this skatepark folks!

Rip-On Skatepark

Rip-On Skatepark which first opened in 2004, is a unique skatepark that is 9,300 square feet in size. This concrete facility features two bowls that are joined by a spine, pyramid, pyramid with a ledge, hubba ledges, handrails, euro gaps, banked wall extension, bank ramps, and quarter pipes. This skatepark is suitable for all types of riders and all ability levels.
