Best Skateparks In Phoenix


Desert West Skate Plaza

Known as Phoenix’s original skate plaza, Desert West consists of all the usual street features plus a bowl. There are multiple ledges, rails, flat bars, pole jams, pyramids, stairs, banks, and bumps. It is also home to the annual PHX AM which is an extremely popular amateur skateboarding competition. The contest is held by the cities best skate shop – Cowtown Skateboards. No matter what type of or level of skateboarder you’re there is something here you will have fun shredding!

Cesar Chavez Skatepark

Cesar Chavez Skatepark will appeal mainly to street skateboarders with it’s plaza style obstacles. There are hubba ledges, flat ledges, flat gaps, bank to bank, handrail, stairs, flat bars, bank ramps, pole jam, and more. Another great asset to this skatepark is the lighting system that allows riders to use this facility at night.

CESAR CHAVEZ SKATEPARK

Hermoso Skatepark

Hermoso Skatepark was designed and built by Pillar Skateparks. This is a very fun little facility that consists of quarter pipes, bank ramps, camel humps, flat ledges, curved ledge, down ledge, bump to ledge, manual pads, rail, and stair set. This skatepark can be enjoyed by all riding abilities so be sure to add it to your list.

Professional skateboarder Aaron “Jaws” Homoki has also been known to frequent this skatepark, so keep your eyes peeled!

The Wedge Skatepark

The Wedge Skatepark is located in Eldorado Park and features 20,000 square feet of skate-able terrain. Transition riders will enjoy the amoeba bowl and quarter pipes. Street skaters can take advantage of pyramids, curbs, rails, ledges, flat bars, and lot of flat ground. This is also the perfect skatepark for beginners as the obstacles are spread out and reasonably mellow.

El Mirage Skatepark

El Mirage Skatepark is a 15,000 square foot skate plaza that was designed and constructed by California Skateparks. It features hubba ledges, flat ledges, kinked rails, stair set, manual pads, big flat banks, quarter pipes, and some other creative urban obstacles. If you like to skate street then you will love this skatepark. It is also suitable for all skateboarding abilities.

EL MIRAGE SKATEPARK

Goodyear Skatepark

Goodyear Skatepark is a 32,000 square foot skatepark designed and constructed by California Skateparks and is located thirty-minutes from downtown Phoenix. This skatepark features a full-pipe capsule, snake run, peanut bowl with pool coping, a street section with a pyramid, bank ramps, hubba ledges, and flat ledges Its a big, bad ass park and totally worth the drive from Phoenix!
