Dallas might not be the most popular skateboarding city in the county but it sure does have some awesome skateparks. The “Big D” is indeed a big place and skateboarders can find skateparks just about anywhere here. Several of the Dallas area skateparks have also made it on the Best Skateparks In Texas list. The surrounding suburbs of Dallas is definitely where you will find the ”cream of the crop” skateparks with some epic street courses and insanely good bowls.

If you’re a skateboarder visiting the Dallas area or a local on the hunt for some new terrain this list will lead you to the best skateparks in Dallas. If you get the chance be sure to hit up our personal favorite, Mckinney Skatepark (you won’t regret it).

Carpenter Skatepark

Carpenter Skatepark is the perfect all-round facility with a mix of street and transition. The street course consists of various obstacles including flat ledges, hubba ledge, out ledge, A-frame with a ledge and rail, rails,, flat bar, pole jam, manual pads, bank ramps, quarter pipes, two stair sets, euro gap, Maloof ledge and rail, and a bank-to-bank with a gap.

This skatepark also has one of the largest bowl complexes in the Dallas-Fort Worth area! The shallow end has steel coping and the deep end has pool coping plus there are two waterfalls along with a tombstone and multiple extensions.

The facility opened in mid-2018, so go shred this relatively new concrete! It is also lit up until 11pm every night.

CARPENTER SKATEPARK

Lively Skatepark

Lively Skatepark is 20,000 square feet and consists of a variety of street and transition elements. There is a flow-bowl with various depths, corner extension, and an over-vert capsule. The street course is wide open with a stair set, euro gap, hubba ledges, rails, handrail, flat ledges, manual pad, bank ramps, and quarter pipes.

LIVELY SKATEPARK

Lewisville Skatepark

Lewisville Skatepark is 33,000 square feet of street and transition terrain. The large flow bowl has multiple hips, an extension, and an island. Other transition includes a wooden mini ramp with a spine, pump bump, an extension, and banks.

As for the street section there are flat ledges, out ledge, manual pads, various stair sets, curved ledges, euro gaps, pyramid with a ledge, bank ramps, and rails. Street skaters will really enjoy this unique design.

LEWISVILLE SKATEPARK

Wheel Zone Skatepark

Wheel Zone Skatepark was designed and built in collaboration with SPA Skateparks, New Line Skateparks, and with the input of the local skateboarding community.

The result is a street inspired facility with some great obstacles that include multiple flat ledges, manual pad to ledge combos, flat bars, rails, A-frame, bank-to-ledge, hubba ledges, stairs, euro gap, and quarter pipes.

This is a great little skatepark for all skating abilities.

WHEEL ZONE SKATEPARK

Northeast Community (Frisco) Skatepark

Northeast Community also known as ‘Frisco’ skatepark is a whopping 47,000 square feet making it the second largest skatepark in Texas! This skatepark has a lot of everything from transition to street and everything in between.

The street plaza has granite ledges, concrete ledges, manual pads, stairs, wedge-to-wedge, bank ramps, volcano, a bank-to-barrier, and much more. There is a massive multi-depth flow bowl with a six-foot extension, an over vert pocket, tombstone extension, and various pump bumps. A contest sized bowl with pool coping has also been thrown into the mix.

NORTHEAST COMMUNITY SKATEPARK
Hours: 5am – 9pm (closes 6pm on weekends)

The Edge At Allen Station Park

The Ed In Texasge At Allen Station Park

The Edge At Allen Station Park consists of a 38,000 square foot concrete skatepark. Transition skaters will have a blast skating the three flow bowls that include hips, pump bumps, and a spine. Street skaters can take advantage of the large street course with obstacles such as two big hubba ledges and handrail, down ledges, flat ledges, manual pads, flat bar, and bank ramps.

THE EDGE AT ALLEN STATION PARK

Roanoke Skatepark

Roanoke is one bad ass 20,000 square foot skatepark that will make you want to take a trip there right now. There is a nine-foot deep bowl with one-foot of vert, and a six-foot deep shallow end all capped with pool coping.

This skatepark includes features that are themed after the city’s motto “The Unique Dining Capitol of Texas” like a giant skate-able spoon, two separated banked dinner plates, and a down rail in the shape of a dinner knife.

Among the cool artistic features you will find several stair sets, ledges, planter gaps, manual pads, rails, and a London gap.

ROANOKE SKATEPARK

Webb Skatepark

Webb Skatepark is a 4,000 square feet and opened in late 2019 as part of Arlington’s Southeast Recreation Center project. The design is very unique and is set out as two skate plaza runways joined by a skate path.

One of the runways has a quarter pipe, two ledges on either side with a rail in the middle, a manual pad and a bank ramp. The second runway starts with a bank roll-in to an A-frame ledge, rail and bank combo. To finish of the second runway there is a mini-ramp with a spine!

This is a fun little skatepark that is perfect for all skaters to enjoy.

WEBB SKATEPARK

Mckinney (Gabe Nesbitt) Skatepark

Mckinney Skatepark comes in at a whooping 30,000 square feet and is up there with the biggest skateparks in Texas. At the entrance you will find a skate-able art structure followed by a replica swimming pool with a skim box, pool coping, tile and stairs. There’s a skate ditch and a multi-depth bowl named ‘Cotton Bowl’ which is a reference to the city’s history of cotton farming.

The street plaza section is huge and literally has just about every obstacle you could ever want including flat ledges, hubba ledges, bump-to-ledges, manual pads, flat bars, rails, stairs, hubbas, A-frame, bank ramps, and much more.

If you can make it to this skatepark for a session you won’t regret it!

MCKINNEY SKATEPARK

Cody Rocamontes Memorial Skatepark

Cody Rocamontes Memorial Skatepark was built by Spohn Ranch back in 2013. It is a small street style facility consisting of a manual pad/ledge with a flat bar, flat bar, pocket quarter pipe, bank ramps, China-style bank, and benches. Although it is a tiny skatepark it has the necessary features for a fun skate session.

CODY ROCAMONTES SKATEPARK
Hours: 5am – 10pm

Chisholm Trail Skatepark

Chisholm Trail Skatepark is the result of a combined effort between SPA Skateparks and New Line Skateparks. The outcome is a three-level bowl with pool coping and a large street plaza area. The plaza features a variety of street inspired obstacles such as a six-stair with a handrail and two hubba ledges, down rail with hubba ledge and a London gap, wave ramp, volcano, manual pad, several flat ledges, bank ramps and quarter pipes.

All types of skateboarders will get some sort of satisfaction from this skatepark. There is also a pavilion that provides shade when you need a rest. Another awesome thing about this skatepark is it’s lit up until 11pm every night!

CHISHOLM TRAIL SKATEPARK

Action Park Grand Prairie

 Action Park in Grand Prairie is a $1.2 million skatepark that was funded by the City of Grand Prairie. This facility is for everyone from beginners seeking lessons to advanced riders looking to rip it up!

There are both indoor and outdoor skateparks here with a variety of quarter pipes, mini ramps, bowl, bank ramps, rails, hubba ledges, flat ledges, pyramids, stairs, and just about every other obstacle you could think of including a foam pit. BMX riders can take advantage of the dirt jump track and believe it or not there is actually a remote control car track!

Action Park also has a full-service skate shop on site, fitness center, hosts live music and events, and much more.

A waiver must be signed before using the facility and riders must wear a helmet. Skatepark passes cost $10 on weekdays and $12 on weekends.

ACTION PARK GRAND PRAIRIE
Hours: Mon to Fri 12pm – 9:30pm, Sat 11am – 9:30am, Sun 11am – 6pm

Granbury Skatepark

Granbury is a 6,000 square foot skatepark with a unique triangle shape design that has three plaza runways and a bowl. There are some cool floating ledges that hover over a manual pad, a three stair with a rail, and two flat bars.

Although it is a smaller skatepark there are plenty of obstacles to skate and keep skaters entertained.
