Whether it is a fun bowl or technical street course there is something to satisfy all types of skateboarders here.

Something unique about Victoria is that is a “skateboard-friendly city”. What does that mean exactly? Well, they recognize that a growing number of people use skateboards as a mode of transportation so the City is allowing skateboard use on downtown streets. This doesn’t mean you can go grinding every handrail or ollie every stair set in sight, but if you want to cruise with your homies around town no one is going to give you any grief for doing so.

Vic West Skatepark

Vic West Skatepark was designed and built in two phases, the first in 2002 and the second in 2017. New Line Skateparks were the company tasked with bringing this awesome facility to life for the local skateboarding community in Victoria.

It features an enclosed bowl with an extension, volcano, spine, steel coping, pool coping, and noping. There is also an open-style flow bowl with an extension, central pyramid, and a chunk of slappy curb. As for the rest of this skatepark you will find hubba ledges, flat ledges, handrails, flat rails, pyramids, manual pads, euro gaps, banks, hips, and quarter pipes.

No matter what type of rider you are there is something that will appeal to you. Whether you just want to cruise around in a bowl, practice your manuals and ledge tricks, or do some serious ripping, Vic West is suitable for all skateboarding abilities.

Topaz Skatepark

Victoria’s newest edition is the 32,000 square foot Topaz Skatepark. Built and designed by no other then New Line Skateparks it features a mix of both street and transition terrain.

There is a large bowl that consists of steel coping, pool coping, and pool tile, as well as a mini bowl. The street plaza is also large and very impressive. It consists of down ledges, flat ledges, stairs, lots of different types of rails, manual pads, volcano, pump bumps and rollers, curbs, bank ramps, and quarter pipes.

There are lots of different line opportunities, the concrete is silky smooth, and the vibes are great. No matter what your skill level is, this is a must skate if you’re in Victoria.

Sidney Skatepark

Sidney Skatepark is located about twenty-five kilometers north of downtown Victoria in Tulista Park. This skatepark features a nice bowl with varied depths, an extension, pocket, and pump bump. The street section consists of a stair set, hubba ledge, handrail, A-frame with a ledge, bank to ledge, brick bank, camel hump, quarter pipes, flat ledge, flat bar, manual pad, and a jersey barrier.

Sidney Skatepark has very good flow and is fun for all ages, types or riders, and abilities. If you are heading this way it is definitely worth stopping by for a session.
