Castle Downs Skatepark

Castle Downs Skatepark is a large concrete facility that features both street and transition elements. The large flow bowl has hips, an extension, roller, roll-in, and a transfer spine. The rest of the skatepark is made up of street obstacles that include hubba ledges, out ledges, flat ledges, stairs, handrails, flat bars, gaps, manual pads, bumps, bank ramps, and quarter pipes.

The variety of terrain here makes this skatepark appealing to all types of riders and abilities. It is also big enough to handle the crowds. If you’re in the Edmonton area it is worth checking out Castle Downs Skatepark.

Callingwood Skatepark

Callingwood Skatepark was designed and built by New Line Skateparks and is loaded with 19,500 square feet of street-style obstacles. There are granite topped hubba ledges, stair sets, handrail, kinked handrail, flat bars, bank to bank, flat gap, flat ledges, benches, manual pads, bank with an inset ledge, brick banks, quarter pipes, a half pipe, and more. This is a great skatepark for any beginners or advanced skateboarders looking for fun street obstacles.

Mill Woods Skatepark

Mill Woods Skatepark is one of the most popular in the area. It is an older facility with a few big cracks in the concrete so just be aware of that. However there is a nice bowl with various hips, quarter pipes, bank ramps, brick China bank, volcanoes, pump bumps, hubba ledges, out ledges, flat ledges, curved ledges, manual pads, rails, euro gap, and a bank to bank gap.

Capilano Skatepark

Capilano Skatepark (also known as Fulton Ravine) is a great concrete facility that offers riders both street and transition terrain. A central flow bowl has two sections, a spine, pump bump, volcano, and big vert wall. The street course features hubba ledges, benches, out ledges, manual pads, handrails, flat bars, pole jam, curved ledges, and various bank ramps. This skatepark is suitable for beginner to professional riders.

Woodlands (St. Albert) Skatepark

The new Woodlands Skatepark opened in 2020 and measures in at 14,000 square feet. It features a five to eight-foot pool-style bowl, four-foot mini ramp bowl, flow bowl with hips, roll-in, extension, banked spine, and a central island. The street obstacles include quarter pipes, bank ramps, banked hip with a slappy curb, down ledge, flat ledges, handrail, flat bars, stair set, and more.

This is a well-designed modern skatepark that is perfect for all types of riders. It also features lights that are on until 11pm every night.

Glendale Skatepark

Glendale Skatepark is technically not an Edmonton Skatepark but if you are traveling between Edmonton and Calgary it is definitely worth a stop. Built by New Line Skateparks it features almost 18,000 square feet of skate-able terrain. There is a pool-style bowl, large flow bowl, hubba ledges, handrails, flat ledges, manual pad, multiple stair sets, A-frame ledge, gaps, pole jam, bank to bank gap, flat bar, quarter pipes, and bank ramps. This mix of terrain makes this skatepark appealing to all types of skateboarders and there is plenty of room for everyone to do their thing.
