EC Skatepark

EC Skatepark is one of Tasmania’s iconic skateboarding facilities and it has been host to numerous competitions over the years. It features a mix of street and transition terrain so all types of riders will find something they like here. On offer are a selection of quarter pipes, hips, bank ramps, pyramids, hubba ledges, flat ledges, flat bar, rails, and more.

West Hobart Bowl

West Hobart Bowl was built back in the 70s and is a gnarly setup that is not for the “faint of heart”. There is a long snake-run section, lots of vert, and a lumpy bowl at the end. Several professional skateboarders to likes of Bob Burnquist, Tony Trujillo, and many others have all given the West Hobart Bowl a thumbs up! Even if you don’t want to skate this place it’s worth checking out to see a cool piece of Australian skateboarding history and one of the oldest skateparks in the southern hemisphere.

Rosny Skatepark

Rosny Skatepark opened back in 2016 and is an awesome and compact skateboarding playground! Transition skateboarders will go nuts for the pool-style bowl that is multi-depth and wrapped in pool coping. The street course is made up of three tiers, the first (top) has roll-in quarter pipes at each end, A-frame with a rail and a ledge, bank to ledge, hubba ledge, out ledge, flat ledge, up-gap, flat bar, manual pads, spine, and banks. The second tier (middle) is also a rad set-up and consists of blocks that double as manual pads and flat ledges, up-gap, and a bump to rail. Finally the third lower tier has a long banked wall, quarter pipes, extensions, half-pyramid, manual pad, bump to hubba ledge, and an up-gap. This is one seriously cool skatepark that is good for all skateboarding abilities to enjoy.

Tolosa Skatepark

Tolosa Skatepark In Tasmania

Tolosa Skatepark offers a ‘plaza style’ design with unique obstacles such as a bank with a curved rail, kicker to bank wedge, banked spine, and a skate-able boulder. Other features include quarter pipes with pool coping and tile, taco quarter pipe, curved ledge, jersey barrier, ledges, and a volcano. This is a great skatepark to learn how to skate different terrain and improve your skills. Tolosa Skatepark is suitable for all skateboarding and riding abilities.

Blackmans Bay Skatepark

Blackmans Bay Skatepark is an older skatepark that has received some new-school flair. It consists of an open bowl area that has a pyramid in the middle, a mini ramp with different heights, quarter pipes, A-frame with a rail and a ledge, and a flat bar. This is are good skatepark for all abilities to enjoy.
