Many of these skateparks also possess mini bowls which are perfect for new skateboarders to learn how to skate transition. These mini bowls are also helpful for experienced skaters who can use them to master new tricks before taking themselves to the bigger bowls.

Best Skateparks In Sydney
Sydney Park Skatepark
Sydney Park Skatepark is the latest and greatest to hit this city’s lineup of skateparks and just also happens to be the biggest. Opening at the end of 2020, this six million dollar facility was designed by Convic Skateparks.
It features a beginner bowl, large flow bowl with a vert wall, banks, brick banked wall with a key hole, and a 3.3 meter (10 foot) professional style bowl with an island, spine, vert extension, steel and pool coping.
The street plaza is packed with perfect street elements such as flat ledges, manual pads, handrails, slappy curb, bank ramps, flat bars, stairs, and quarter pipes. This skatepark is unbelievably good!
SYDNEY PARK SKATEPARK

Carlingford Skatepark
Carlingford Skatepark was designed by Convic and consists of an intermediate double bowl with a nice hip and a spine. The street section features quarter pipes, three block, two flat ledges, manual pad, flat bar, slappy curb, and a mini hip to jersey barrier.
With smooth polished concrete and a range of obstacles to suit all-levels of skateboarders, this is the perfect skatepark to hone your skills. To finish things off, the silky smooth concrete has been stained with an aesthetically pleasing color scheme.
CARLINGFORD SKATEPARK

Federal Park Skatepark (Glebe Skate Plaza)
Federal Park Skatepark which is also known as Glebe Skate Plaza, has been designed to honor the heritage listed light rail’s brick bridge that dissects through the middle of the skate plaza. Old materials such as recycled brick and pavers were incorporated into this skatepark making it reminiscent of Sydney’s industrial history.
There are lots of street obstacles such as brick banks, handrails, bump over hydrant, manual pad / ledge combo, manual pads, flat ledges, out ledges, slappy curb, flat bar, jersey barrier, bank to bank with A-frame rail, three stair, and a mini ramp. Street skaters will love shredding this spot!
GLEBE SKATE PLAZA

Meadowbank Skatepark (Ryde)
Meadowbank Skatepark, which is often referred to as Ryde Skatepark, is 2,500 squared meters (27,000 square feet) and was designed and built by Convic. Transition skaters will enjoy the large kidney bowl with pool coping and the smaller bowl with different depths, a spine, and a banked extension.
The street course is just as impressive with two floating hubba ledges, handrail, bank to jersey barrier, rainbow rail pole jam, manual pad, two marble flat ledges, bank to bank, euro gap with a natural rock, and a three block stair set.
This multi-use park is perfect for the whole family as there is a bike path, playground, climbing wall, and barbeque area.
MEADOWBANK SKATEPARK

Mona Vale Skatepark
Mona Vale Skatepark is 1,800 squared meters (19,400 square feet) and has everything you could want in a skatepark such as a refurbished vert ramp, mini bowl, and huge street course. There are flat ledges, hubba ledges, stair set, handrail, rail, flat bar, A-frame with a rail and ledge, manual pads, bank ramps, pyramid, and quarter pipes. This is a great skatepark and very beginner friendly.
MONA VALE SKATEPARK
Hours: 7am – 10:30pm (Sunday until 9pm)

South Eveleigh Skatepark
South Eveleigh is a cool little urban street plaza tucked away between buildings in the inner suburbs of Sydney. It consists of several street elements such as custom brick quarter pipes and banks, granite ledges, pole jam, jersey barrier, island, camel hump with slappy curb, U-shaped slappy curb, and a stair set. This is a very well designed skatepark with a very aesthetically pleasing landscaped garden.
SOUTH EVELEIGH SKATEPARK

Waterloo Skatepark (Fernside)
Waterloo Skatepark which is also known as Fernside, was the first street-style skatepark built in Sydney. It has a mini-ramp that was cut down from its original size which is now perfect for learning transition tricks.
The skate plaza is jam packed with blocks, flat ledges, out ledges, hubba ledge, banked ledges, manual pads, stair sets, flat bar, rails, and a decent amount of smooth flat ground. This is by far the most historic skatepark in Sydney.
WATERLOO SKATEPARK

Five Dock Skatepark
Five Dock Skatepark has the gnarliest bowls in Australia. The three bowls range from five to eight feet which have a variety of hips and extensions along with a half pipe and a snake run. If you like to skate transition you will really want to check this skatepark out.

Carnes Hill Skatepark
Carnes Hill Skatepark is made up of scattered street elements such as hubba ledges, flat ledges, curved ledge, inset bank ledge, manual pads, handrails, flat bars, walls, quarter pipes, bank ramps, slappy curbs, jersey barrier, and pump bumps. This wide-open skatepark will appeal purely to street skaters who enjoy plazas and flat ground.
CARNES HILL SKATEPARK

Oran Park Skatepark
Oran Park Skatepark which opened in 2020 has a transition section consisting of a beginner bowl and an advanced bowl with a shallow and deep end, as well as pool coping. The street course has various obstacles such as long flat and down ledges, curved ledge, rock gaps, down rails, manual pads, banks with hips, quarter pipe with curb, quarter pipes, vert wall, and bank ramps.
There are also skate-able rocks that have been incorporated into the design. This is an awesome all-round skatepark suitable for all levels of skateboarders.
