Coconino Skatepark (The Basin)

Coconino Skatepark, also known as The Basin is a vert skateboarders dream. Every direction you look is a big bowl, wall, or hip begging to be skated. One of the flow bowls features a spine, vert wall, and a volcano. The other flow bowl is deep and has a radial pocket, lots of hips, a spine, and a transfer gap. A pool-style bowl is also on offer as well as a smaller bowl that is set off to the side of the skatepark which is perfect for intermediate riders. This skatepark is not suitable for beginners due to the shear size of its transition.

Bushmaster Skatepark

Bushmaster Skatepark was designed by SITE Design and opened back in 1998. This 13,000 square foot facility was rated 10 out of 10 by Thrasher Magazine back in the day. There is a clover-shaped bowl with multiple depths, snake-run, quarter pipes, extensions, large pyramid, down ledges, and flat ledges. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced skateboarder you will definitely have fun here.

Foxglenn Skatepark

Foxglenn Skatepark is another SITE Design project that measures in at 16,000 square feet. Opening back in 2002 it features mainly transition style terrain with a little bit of street mixed in here and there. On hand are bowls with extensions and hips, numerous quarter pipes, bank ramps, tall down ledge, flat ledges, and some rails. This skatepark is great for all types of riders and abilities so be sure to check it out if you’re in Flagstaff.

Jack Malmgren Skatepark (Sedona)

Jack Malmgren Skatepark is located thirty-miles south of Flagstaff but it is totally worth the drive. This skatepark features a bowl with a shallow and deep section, open flow section with quarter pipes, vert, and a central volcano, bank ramps, mini vert wall, numerous flat ledges, down ledges, manual pad, out ledges, pyramid, flat to down rail, fun box with a rail, and bump to ledge, and a handrail. As you can see there is a nice mix of obstacles so it will appeal to a variety of skateboarding and skateboarding abilities. This skatepark has one of the best backdrops in the country!
