Wyoming is one of those states that makes you feel like you’re in a western movie. A skateboard is your trusty steed and the skatepark is a series of mountains you need to cross with danger or reward at every turn. Or maybe this is just the feeling I get when skateboarding in this rugged but beautiful state that makes my mind wander.

Either way if you’re yet to make it to Wyoming but considering taking a trip here you will be glad to know there are some great skateparks. Some of the best skatepark designers in the country such as Dreamland, Grindline, Evergreen, and Spohn Ranch have all built awesome skateboarding facilities in Wyoming.

Whether you’re a beginner or experienced rider, Wyoming has several options to satisfy your skateboarding needs. Let’s take a look at the six best skateparks in Wyoming!

Best Skateparks In Wyoming

Douglas Skatepark

Douglas Skatepark is a nice mix of transition and street terrain. A very unique bowl with various transitions occupies one end of the skatepark and is the perfect flow zone. The rest of the facility is made up of a flat ground area with street obstacles such as a pyramid, quarter pipes in two corners, concrete rail, and a manual pad.

This skatepark was built by Evergreen Skateparks and if you happen to be in Douglas it’s definitely worth checking out.

Laramie Skatepark

Laramie Skatepark was designed and built by Grindline Skateparks. Grindline are known for building radical skateparks with lots of transition and pool coping. Laramie Skatepark is no exception.

There is a really cool bowl with pool coping all the way around and a full-pipe! Yes a full-pipe! Transition skaters absolutely love this bowl setup and even if you’re not a very experienced skater it’s still fun just to have a roll inside the pipe.

The rest of the skatepark is made up of flow bowls, spine, quarter pipe extension with pool tile, pyramid, island, flat ledge, down ledge, out ledge, handrail, and a flat rail.

Riverton Skatepark

Riverton Skatepark is 9,000 square feet and was designed and built by Grindline Skateparks. It features a variety of transition and street terrain making it appeal to all types of skateboarders and riders.

The flow bowl is really impressive and consists of a big bank wall, spine, numerous hips, and a vert extension. No matter if you’re a skater, BMX rider, or scooter rat, this bowl is fun for everyone.

The street area has an awesome mini ramp, quarter pipes, hubba ledges, handrails, two-flat-two stair set, camel hump with a rainbow pole jam, bank-to-pole jam, bump-to-rail, and a flat ledge.

Gillette Skatepark

Gillette Skatepark is 10,000 square feet and was designed and built by Spohn Ranch in 2014. This is one very well designed skatepark with some cool and unique features like a skate-path with bench ledges and pump bumps, as well as a custom steel sculpture that represents the County’s mountain range logo.

There is a three-quarter bowl, quarter pipes, bump-over-bar, hubba ledge, out ledge, down rail, A-rail, manual pad, euro gap, and bank-to-bank wedges.

Joe McGowan Memorial (Lander) Skatepark

Joe McGowan Memorial Skatepark (also known a Lander Skatepark) was designed and built by Dreamland Skateparks. It took local skateboarders and citizens many years to even get the process of building a skatepark started but thanks to their dedication and determination they know have an amazing skateboarding facility.

The skatepark features a large flow bowl steel and pool coping and a roll-in. Street obstacles include an A-frame with a ledge and rail, quarter pipe with a vert extension, stairs, handrail, flat bar, flat ledge, manual pad, banks, and bumps.

Pinedale Skatepark

Pinedale Skatepark is 7,200 square feet and was designed and built by Dreamland Skateparks. It consists of various flow bowls with hips, spine, and steel coping. There is also some nice bank ramps, up-gap, and bank-to-ledge.
