Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark

Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark which was built in 2011 and was Atlanta’s first ever public skatepark. On opening day, skateboarders had a surprise visit by none other than skateboarding legend, Tony Hawk!

Hawk who just happens to also be the richest skateboarder of all time donated $25,000 towards the construction of this facility. At the grand opening he noted the exceptional size of the skatepark and praised its design which had a lot of input from the local skateboarding community

There are some unique bowls here with various extensions, a volcano, hips, and bumps. The street obstacles consist of handrails, ledges, stairs, bank, pump bumps, and a spine. With such a diverse mix of terrain, this skatepark ought to satisfy just about every type of skateboarder.

FOURTH WARD SKATEPARK

Arthur Langford Jr. Skatepark

Arthur Langford Jr. Skateparks is 6,000 square feet and was designed and built by Grindline Skateparks in 2015. This skatepark is purely a street plaza-style facility that consists of flat ledges, out ledges, curved ledges, manual pads, stair set, and a flat bar.

It’s a great skatepark for both beginner and experienced skateboarders looking to hone in their street skills.

Hapeville Skatepark

Hapeville Skatepark was completed in 2020 by Grindline Skateparks. This is one really awesome skateboarding facility with a modern design that any skateboarder can appreciate. There is a pool-style bowl with pool coping, quarter pipe with banked extension, quarter pipe with a slot, two hubba ledges, out ledge, flat ledges, flat bars, rails, bump-to-rail, A-frame ledge, and bank ramps.

HAPEVILLE SKATEPARK

Brook Run Skatepark

Brook Run Skatepark is 27,000 square feet and was designed with both beginner and advanced skateboarders in mind. There is a giant flow bowl which is perfect for cruising around and hitting its hips and extensions. When you are ready to step things up there is a pool-style bowl with pool tile and pool coping.

The street course is wide open offering lots of room for practicing on flat ground along with three down ledges, handrails, stair sets, flat ledges, a curved ledge, banks, and manual pads to make good use of.

Riverdale Skatepark

Riverdale is a 7,000 square foot skatepark that was designed and built by Spohn Ranch in 2017. The street course consists of a bump to manual pad, handrail, out rail, A-frame rail, two down ledges, flat ledge, and quarter pipes. But that’s not all. This skatepark also has a nice bowl with two different depths and hips which are sure to please transition skateboarders.

Kennesaw Skatepark

Kennesaw Skatepark measures in at a whopping 40,000 square feet and is a replica professional-style Street League Skateboarding facility. This means all the obstacles are exactly what the pros skate in the Street League competition. There are down ledges, flat ledges, handrails, flat bars, manual pads, gaps, and more.

However there is more to this skatepark than just street obstacles such as a flow bowl and a ten-foot pool too! Both street skaters and transition skaters will love shredding this skateboarding facility.

Bay Creek Skatepark

Bay Creek Skatepark was built in 2009 and designed by Pillar Design Studios. There are a lot of obstacles on offer here including handrails, stairs, down ledges, flat ledges, out ledge, manual pads, flat bars, kicker ramp, jersey barrier, and euro gaps.

Duncan Creek Skatepark is 20,000 square feet and was designed and built by Wally Hollyday in 2008.
